Sarah: Princess of the Sacred Feminine

  • 36 Steps

About

This interdisciplinary program examines Sarah, the first matriarch of the Abrahamic tradition, as a biblical figure, theological presence, and sacred feminine archetype. Designed for academic, interfaith, and contemplative settings, it brings feminist biblical hermeneutics, midrashic tradition, comparative mythology, Christian theology, Islamic interpretation, and Jungian psychology into conversation. Participants will study Sarah’s naming, barrenness, embodiment, covenantal role, laughter, and legacy while engaging difficult questions of power, suffering, and interpretation. The program supports seminary and university study, reading groups, spiritual direction, and retreat practice.
